I have been building model ships and boats for over 40 years, in 2010 I decided to expand this service to include restorations alongside an on-line shop selling model boat fittings for those who want to build or restore their own models.
Customer satisfaction is the most important thing for me and the testimonials on this web-site hopefully show this.
If you have a model in need of restoration or repair, I will be happy to assess it for you. Every project is different, so I initially make an assessment based on photographs provided by the customer and at this point I will be able to give an estimate of cost. If the customer wishes to proceed a more detailed assessment can be carried out once I see the model. At this point I can give a cost and a time frame for completion, all work is carried out by myself and my wife, we do not outsource any work.
If required we will do research to ensure that the model is restored as near to the original as possible, but if a sympathetic restoration is all that is required then we will work with the customer to ensure that they are happy with the level of restoration suggested.
If required we can provide a regular update by e mail including photos showing progress, returning a restored model to a happy customer is our main aim.
The sections below will give you an idea of the projects I have worked on, these have mainly been for private customers all though I have also worked for museums and companies on occasions.
