A short while ago a yacht arrived in need of some TLC, as you can see from the photos the yacht certainly needs some work the main issue being that the keel was completely off the model. The first stage as always was to take a few photos for future reference I then decided to re-attach the keel prior to preparing the hull for re-painting this including smoothing down the hull prior to sealing and then applying 2/3 coats of primer and then 2/3 coats of the finish colour then polishing. The next stage was to work on the deck area and re-seal and fix new deck fittings as required.
The last stage of the restoration was to replace the sails with new ones as well as all the rigging required to finish the model, the final stage was to make a stand for the model from Oak to enhance the end result.
