Welcome To Maritime Models | Model Boats And Ships

Maritime Models are mail order suppliers of quality model boats and model ship kits, fittings, tools, accessories and consumables.

We supply Mamoli static model kits, Aeronaut fittings and Aerokit radio control model boat kits.

Steve Park of Maritime Models is a skilled, experienced, professional model maker and undertakes model ship commissions and model boat restoration.

We also have a selection of maritime prints for sale by artist Leon Olin including a limited addition print of 'Tall ships', signed and numbered by the artist.

My name is Steve Park and I made my first model ship in the early 1980s. It was a small kit of the Marco Polo and it still sits in my lounge at home.

I was then inspired to have a go at making my first scratch built model boat and whilst on holiday in Cornwall I came across some plans for a Cornish Lugger. This was a very pleasing model and gave me a great deal of satisfaction knowing that I had built it completely from scratch. I did build another a few years later but this time using a pre-formed hull, a picture of this particular model is in my gallery.

I went on to build a number of scratch built models and then discovered Jotika and the range of superb kits they produce. Jotika asked me if I would build a number of replacement Caldercraft models for their display and I am pleased to say that I am also now able to supply a range of Caldercraft kits for sale and various fittings, tools and accessories including stanchions, props, prop-shafts and couplings, please see the on-line shop section for full details.

As we are continually expanding the range we offer please contact us if you don't see what you are looking for and will endeavour to do our best to help. Our aim is to provide a good reliable service at a reasonable price.

The gallery sections will give you an idea of the number of various models I have worked on and also the commissions I am currently working on. If you would like me to undertake a commission for you or if you have a model which needs restoring please contact me and I will be happy to discuss this with you.

Each commission and restoration project is different and prices will depend on the time and the work involved, so I am therefore unable to give any details on my web site, so please contact me to discuss your requirements.

If you would like to have a go at building your own model from a kit then why not order one from me, I can also provide you with ongoing advice and support should you have any problems and if all becomes too much I will even complete it for you at a reasonable cost. No one need ever know!!!
